About Me Through the Years!

Was married to Rudy 40+ years, mother of 4 girls:

Mona(40), Gina & Nee'(37), & Rachelle (in heaven)

Grandmother of :

Kaitie(17), Meg(15), Ben(13), Jakob(12), Madi(11), Cami(9) & Mason(8)

I’ve always been stay at home wife/Mom/Grandmom.

I’ve been crafting my whole life, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, scrap booking (since the 1960’s, it sure has changed over the years!), card making, baking, cooking and decorating cakes. I used to do alot of gardening but not much these days!

Family is very important to me and my whole life has been concentrated on family. Sometimes there have been some very difficult situations that have tested my faith in my family, but life goes on.

My motto : Life Goes On . . . One Day at a Time!

I’ve always thought I was born in the wrong era.

I’ve been researching our family history since the 1980’s, you’ll find me asking alot of questions whenever I’m with family!  Always looking for family recipes, stories, photos and anything else to be added to my family album. I’m involved in planning our annual Simon Family reunion most of the time, every year I wonder if it will be the last. We’ve lost most of the older family members and the younger generations don’t seem to want to participate in the family reunions.

We have a 3 year old Chi-Wienie, Lucy.

Lucy is now 11 years old and has congestive heart failure, not sure how much more time she has.

On March 15, 2010, our lives were changed forever! The word Brain Tumor and Cancer! Rudy had Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4 Brain Cancer. He fought a very hard battle until Dec. 10, 2011, when he went to Heaven.

Rudy is in God’s hands! Trying to deal with being a widow and alone, this was not a part of our plan.
