Big Screen TV
Rudy’s TV went into the shop last Friday! We had replaced the lamp in it less than a month before and it started going off again.
So he’s been watching our very old 19 inch with no remote!

The Repair Shop called yesterday and said the TV has not gone out for them yet. See! I told Rudy the TV was possessed!
Looks like we’re out the fee to check the TV out and we’ll be bringing it back home.
My life!
On Saturday I got stung by a wasp on my wrist. I’ve been dealing with redness, pain, itching, and swelling. The swelling went from my watchband area almost to my elbow.

Not a very good pic.
Today it’s finally looking better.
I have reactions to stings, but luckily never end up in ER with one.
I was minding my own business, just watching stumps be removed from our property and the little bugger got me! What’s the deal?
Something to think about!
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
“One is Evil – It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
“The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
Don’t mess with little old ladies……..
An older lady gets pulled over for speeding…….
Older Woman: Is there a problem, Officer?
Officer: Ma’am, you were speeding.
Older Woman: Oh, I see.
Officer: Can I see your license, please?
Older Woman: I’d give it to you but I don’t have one.
Officer: Don’t have one?
Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
Officer: I see….. Can I see your vehicle registration papers please.
Older Woman: I can’t do that.
Officer: Why not?
Older Woman: I stole this car
Officer: Stole it?
Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
Officer: You what?
Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see ….
The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within minutes 5 police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.
Officer 2: Ma’am, could you step out of your vehicle please! The woman steps out of her vehicle.
Older woman: Is there a problem sir?
Officer 2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
Officer 2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car, please.
The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.
Officer 2: Is this your car, ma’am?
Older Woman: Yes, here are the registration papers.
The officer is quite stunned.
Officer 2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.
The woman digs into her handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.
The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.
Officer 2: Thank you ma’am, one of my officers told me you didn’t have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was speeding, too!!!!
Don’t Mess With Old Ladies!!!
Bat! Yuck!
Thursday morning when I let Lucy out just before daylight, she kept barking and barking! I went out to see what was going on, didn’t see anything, but did hear a rustling sound.
We have a half wine barrel sitting next to shed, just off our patio with a half wall leaning over it against the top of the shed. Lucy would bark and growl, then run around onto the grass and bark and growl again. I could not see anything.
Well yesterday evening after dinner, Lucy did it again! Rudy went out and at first he saw nothing. Finally he found a bat, it was clinging to the inside of the partial wall between it and the wine barrel.

They are so ugly!!!

This is the largest bat we’ve seen out here.
“Leaving on a jet plane”
Anyone remember that song?
Off to pack for another trip, we leave for NJ tomorrow, got alot to do and no time to do it!
Wow! A busy weekend!
Drove to Cottage Grove, OR for our annual Family reunion for my Dad’s side of the family.
Left early Sat. morning and about 6 1/2 hours later we arrived at the park.
Visited with the family members camping there for a few hours. Sat by the campfire and visited, until the smoke set off my asthma and off to the car for my rescue meds.
We had rain and wind off and on all weekend long. Luckily the Sunday celebration was in a Gazebo, so we didn’t get wet.
Not alot of people came from our side of the family, but this year, the oldest living relatives in the family, Uncle Vic (almost 94) and some of his family joined us. Last Year it was my Mom’s family that joined us.
Mona and Gina both called their Dad yesterday morning to wish him a “Happy Father’s Day!”, made him smile!
When I get back from our NJ trip, I will add some pics for both trips.
Off to pack again!
Jakob having fun!
The other day Jakob was playing at our house. He plays with empty prescription bottles and pretends he’s bowling.
But on this day, he was being silly with them!

Then he got really silly!

He’s quite the kid! never know what next will happen!
He spent the night on sunday night and before I took him home Monday, he hid a DVD in my living room. When we got to his house, he told me and said I needed to go home and find it!
I found it! It was hidden in the sweatshirt of the stuffed bear sitting on back of my couch.
