Life Goes On…

One Day at a Time

Thanksgiving!

It’s supposed to be a family gathering. Fewer people this year than usual, but they still were in my thoughts. I remember growing up most years we drove to my Grandparents and had huge family dinner. Whatever happened to those days?

I was sad to hear my Mom was sick and all alone for Thanksgiving. Wish she lived closer and we could have gone and gotten her. No one should be alone for a holiday!

It’s really hard to believe there’s only a month until Christmas. I’ve got to get my Christmas cards in the mail, hopefully I’ve not forgotten anyone. Then decide on gifts and start my baking and candy making.

I won’t be out shopping today like alot of people, hoping for a quiet day at home and do some cleaning. I have a huge mess in my scrapbooking room from making my cards. Then I’ve got to get the outside lights out and check for burned bulbs. We always put up our outside Christmas lighting Thanksgiving weekend, that is if the weather permits.

Where has this last year gone? It’s hard to believe it’s time to decorate for Christmas!

Holidays!

Well the holidays have crept upon me way too quickly! I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow!
This morning Gina will help with making the desserts for tomorrow. We’ll have a quiet little dinner with Gina’s family. Wish Mona and her family were here also!

I’m just finishing up all of my Christmas cards, it’s been a challenge this year, but they are completed and getting them out in the mail real soon!

Luckily the weather has not been too bad so far this month, except for the wind storms! Getting real tired of them!

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving with Family or Friends!

Thank you for Thanksgiving 2008

Thank you so much for doing this. Gina, Joe, Nee’ and Stuart all were a big help!

Gina and Nee’ decided they were cooking dinner this year to help me out, since I’m not doing very well these days.

Food was great except the for the turkey. I feel really bad for all of the bashing Joe took during dinner, it sure wasn’t his fault for what happened to the turkey. Really sorry we said so much about it.

Definitely a memory that won’t fade anytime soon!
