Brrr!

Frosty and cold this morning. Dipped into the 30’s last night, there goes my garden!

I don’t think I’m ready for cold weather, I can’t seem to keep warm.

Wow! What a Dust/Wind Storm!

We woke up to a bad dust/wind storm Sunday morning and it was that way all day long! Some highways were closed most of the day North of us with multiple accidents.

We had rain on Saturday, but it did not keep the dust under control.

Everything is covered in dust and needs alot of clean-up. Lost a few branches off our trees, but not as bad as in the past. Supposed to stay sunny all week here.

Windy and Smokey!

We have a number of brush fires in our area tonight. It’s very smokey and the wind has increased the last hour or so. We had a lightning storm last night and numerous fires started in our area. I’m hoping they get them under control soon!

It’s too hot!

I’m tired of this heat now! Sure! I grew up in Northern California and was hot there too, but I don’t like the heat! Supposed to be 106 today, was 103 yesterday. Is there no relief in sight, I ask?

Ok, I’m whining, but what else can you do when it’s so hot!  I hope where ever you are, it’s not as hot as here!

Wind / Dust Storms

I’m very tired of the wind, when does it stop!

Yesterday I had to go to town for a doctor appt. Coming back from town the tumbleweeds were flying into my car, over my car and sand was beating against my car! We even got a little rain, but not enough to settle the dust!

I had to move all of these tumbleweeds so the Well Pump men could get to our well and work on it.

This morning I wake up to still wind!

I don’t like living here, the wind blows way too much! It’s been 25+ years of living here and I’ll never get used to the weather! I miss California!

This morning we had a very pretty sunrise :

That’s one thing I do like about living where we do, we get to see some very pretty sunrises and sunsets out here.

Here’s some more March weather.

This was the dark cloud that gave us the hail that day. We only got a little hail and snow, but Gina got alot of hail and snow.

A few days later we had a wind/dust storm. We get these all of the time, but you never get used to it.

The tumbleweeds fly by us during these storms. Sometimes they are as big as our cars!

Then to make matters worse! Our neighbors always take all of their tumbleweeds, push them into the road for the wind to blow away. Doesn’t matter that there are people driving by, they continue to do this. Then alot of them blew into the small vineyard across the stree and were all stuck inside the grapevines.

This part of living in this part of Eastern WA, wind,sand,tumbleweeds,sagebrush. We have cold winters and hot summers.

I miss Northern California!

Yesterday was the first day of Spring, we had a sunny day with 72 degrees. This morning we woke up to 47 degrees and rainy.

Windy and another storm!

It’s very windy again and very dark clouds surrounding us this afternoon.

I took this picture in our back yard, looking to the West at the very dark sky.  In person it looks darker than the pic.

This pic is out my front yard, showing the clouds moving in and getting darker.

The last weather report I heard, said we may have thunder storm this evening.

Well March definitely roared in like a Lion this year, sure hope it leaves like a Lamb. We sure could use some calm weather around here.

Better go bring Lucy back in, she’s out in the back yard.

Our Ever Changing Weather!

We had rain all day yesterday, then sometime before 3am this morning the wind started.

It’s not unusual for us to have wind here, we have dust and wind storms year around!

I took some pics of the clouds just North of us, they are over top the Hanford Reservation just across the river from where we live.

Right now Gina’s without electricity, we don’t know if it’s caused by the wiond or something else.

Her electricity is back, she  just called.

Yuck Snow!

We woke up to white stuff this morning.

It’s all melted now, yeah!

I’m ready for Spring to arrive here in the Northwest.

Snow Again!

We got snow again, I’d hoped we were done for the year!

I really don’t like this white stuff!

It snowed off and on all day!

Luckily not alot of accumulation, it can just all melt away already!

Can you tell I’m not fond of snow?

When is Spring arriving anyway?
