It’s Friday!
But every day is the same for me!
I spent all morning in my sewing room trying to catch up on the mending that has been stacking up down there. Been awhile since I have done any sewing, it puts stress on my neck.
Another pretty day, warm and sunny with breezes. Fall’s almost here! Colors will start showing soon! Then it’s pumpkin patch time.
Another day and the same old thing!
Just got Rudy out the door, now to start my day. Nothing planned for today, same old thing as always!
I completed the kids’ Halloween cards yesterday. I’ll add the pic soon!
Need to make some birthday cards now, we have 4 birthdays in our coming in the next 2 months.
I really need to design my Christmas cards for this year and get to working on them. ??? wonder what I’ll do this year with them. Last year Renee’ designed a digital card design for me and we sent them to Costco to be printed and I mounted them on card stock.
Off to get my day going, have irrigation going already. I will need to check in in awhile and make sure it’s till working. Wish we had a dependable pump and system and not have to watch it so closely. It takes up alot of my time, since I’m the one home during the day to keep it going. Soon water will be shut down, haven’t heard the date yet.
My morning so far
I got Rudy off to work, that takes awhile these days. Then off to the dentist to have a crown put on. Now I’m home again and just can’t seem to get my day going. Whenever my schedule is off, it’s really hard for me to get moving.
Sitting here wondering how long the weather will last before the cold days arrive. Definitely not looking forward to winter arriving. Way too cold here in the winters in Eastern WA and hot in the summers. Is there no median place to live?
Won’t be long and holidays will be upon us and who has money for the holidays?
Well off to my Scrapbook room to finish the cards I’ve been working on, need to make some birthday cards real soon.
Another visit in the night!
We got up this morning to find that the raccoon had visited again! Had taken off the lid to the trash can that we keep the dog and cat food in.

So Rudy took a bungee cord and fastened the lid on the can. Let’s hope this raccoon doesn’t out smart us again and get into the can again.
We also have gophers building mounds in our lawn every where and squirrels for Lucy to chase all of the time.
Living in a rural setting has it’s good and bad, but wouldn’t have it any other way, except when I run into a snake.
I remember when Shasta tangled with a skunk when she was a puppy, wow what a stink! Mona washed her in tomato juice and we had a pink puppy for a very long time!
And before that this morning, I found a tick walking up the dining room wall above Lucy’s kennel. So off to Petco to buy drops to put on Lucy, came home and gave her a bath and checked her every where for ticks! Guees it’s tick season now!
I better call Gina and have her check Dude!
Before and After!
Here’s the light in our kitchen that has been falling apart and only working when it felt like working.

We had quite a time putting up the new light, it’s 4 inches longer and had to make sure the cupboard door by the light would go past the light and open all the way.
Here’s our new light.

We have one more to take down and a new one to put up. The new light is very bright, it’s like turning on the sun in my kitchen!
I hope Rudy puts up the other light soon!
Happy Birthday Lita!
I made this card and sent to Lita for her birthday next week. She’s turning 83!

Gosh! The way I feel these days, I don’t think I’ll make it to my 80’s.
It’s snowing again :(
I couldn’t believe it when I got up this morning, it was white again and snowing heavily. Sure hope it melts away again, the weather just said sun for us today.

I’m planning on taking down my tree today, it’s always so depressing when the tree has to come down.
We’ll Miss You!
Uncle John, we will miss you!
You’re no longer suffering and at peace now.
(1923 -2008)

I’m so glad we got to see you at the Simon Reunion in Corning, CA last June.
You’ve been a part of my whole life and I always enjoyed visiting you.
Thank you Nee’ for sending this picture to me.
A Quote I saw today
I saw this quote today and thought it fit my life the last 2 years.
“Life isn’t about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.”
In Memory – I miss you Dad
I love you, Dad.
This was the last picture we got of you.
Where do the years go? Can’t believe it’s been 16 years already!
On November 17th, 1992, my Dad passed away and the girls lost their Grandpa after many years of being sick and suffering.
I’m trying to be real brave right now to be able to write this.
Growing up I was always very close to you.
I remember all of the camping, fishing, and hunting trips. Vacations to Idaho, with you longing to move out of California, it never happened.
I remember family and holiday gatherings in Corning, CA and the annual Simon Family reunions. Listening to everyone talk about when they grew up and living in Kansas before some of you moved out to California.
You worked so hard in your life, long work weeks and long hours and barely got paid anything!
Then you got very ill and the grandkids grew up with you in and out of the hospital. We all got to have you in our lives for another 16 years and you got to see most of the grandkids grow to teenagers.
I wish you could have been hear to see all of your great grandkids, they are quite a bunch!
We’re losing so many family members now and the ones still alive are getting older! The younger generations of the family don’t seem to have the family as a priority in their lives.Wonder how much longer the Simon Family Reunion will survive?
I know you’re watching over all of us, we love and miss you.
Family has always been the most important thing in my life. I enjoy working on our family history to keep the future generations connected to our past. I really need to get back to working on it again.
