Thanksgiving!
It’s supposed to be a family gathering. Fewer people this year than usual, but they still were in my thoughts. I remember growing up most years we drove to my Grandparents and had huge family dinner. Whatever happened to those days?
I was sad to hear my Mom was sick and all alone for Thanksgiving. Wish she lived closer and we could have gone and gotten her. No one should be alone for a holiday!
It’s really hard to believe there’s only a month until Christmas. I’ve got to get my Christmas cards in the mail, hopefully I’ve not forgotten anyone. Then decide on gifts and start my baking and candy making.
I won’t be out shopping today like alot of people, hoping for a quiet day at home and do some cleaning. I have a huge mess in my scrapbooking room from making my cards. Then I’ve got to get the outside lights out and check for burned bulbs. We always put up our outside Christmas lighting Thanksgiving weekend, that is if the weather permits.
Where has this last year gone? It’s hard to believe it’s time to decorate for Christmas!
Holidays!
Well the holidays have crept upon me way too quickly! I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving tomorrow!
This morning Gina will help with making the desserts for tomorrow. We’ll have a quiet little dinner with Gina’s family. Wish Mona and her family were here also!
I’m just finishing up all of my Christmas cards, it’s been a challenge this year, but they are completed and getting them out in the mail real soon!
Luckily the weather has not been too bad so far this month, except for the wind storms! Getting real tired of them!
Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving with Family or Friends!

I really wish that was true for me!
Sorry!
I’ve not been doing anything on my blog lately! Life seems to be getting in the way these days. One crisis after another any more. It’s been really tough going around here lately and some people just don’t make it any easier, that’s for sure!
I hope to catch up on a few cards I’ve made recently, I’m really behind. Hopefully I can add some pics in the next few days.
Holidays are creeping upon us and it will get busier for me.
Winter weather is trying to come in and cold weather takes it’s toll on me. Hoping for a calm winter this year.
Hope you all are having a good day!
Veterans Day
Being the wife of a Veteran that served in the Viet Nam War, I want to thank Rudy and all Veterans for what they have done /are doing for our country.
Rudy served our country for 5 years, Basic at Fort Ord, California, AIT at Fort Knox, Kentucky, a year in Viet Nam (he was only 18 when he went over there), Fort Carson, Colorado, California National Guard, then finally Fort Lewis Washington.
Alot of people don’t know what the Veterans have sacrificed doing their duty for our country.
I just hope the Veterans coming home these days do not have to suffer like the Viet Nam Vets have. They came home to no welcome, no jobs, no help from the VA, struggling to get their lives put back together. Some are still struggling today!
Thank you to all of the Veterans!
It’s a rainy day!
It’s dark and rainy today, very gloomy!
Not alot going on around here lately. Need to post more often and do more crafting.
Holidays are creeping upon us and there’s always alot to do! I really need to design my Christmas cards and get busy!
I see ideas all of the time, but don’t have the tools to do them. Who’s got money these days, not I!

Grandparents
What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies. ~Rudolph Giuliani
I miss all of my grandparents, would love to go back in time and be with them. We used to have huge family gatherings for all of the holidays. Got to visit it Aunts and Uncles and so many cousins!
Life Quote
There’s one sad truth in life I’ve found
While journeying east and west -
The only folks we really wound
Are those we love the best.
We flatter those we scarcely know,
We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow
To those who love us best.
~Ella Wheeler Wilcox~
Many times we hurt the people we love and never look back!
