Thank you for Thanksgiving 2008
Thank you so much for doing this. Gina, Joe, Nee’ and Stuart all were a big help!
Gina and Nee’ decided they were cooking dinner this year to help me out, since I’m not doing very well these days.
Food was great except the for the turkey. I feel really bad for all of the bashing Joe took during dinner, it sure wasn’t his fault for what happened to the turkey. Really sorry we said so much about it.
Definitely a memory that won’t fade anytime soon!
In Memory – I miss you Dad
I love you, Dad.
This was the last picture we got of you.
Where do the years go? Can’t believe it’s been 16 years already!
On November 17th, 1992, my Dad passed away and the girls lost their Grandpa after many years of being sick and suffering.
I’m trying to be real brave right now to be able to write this.
Growing up I was always very close to you.
I remember all of the camping, fishing, and hunting trips. Vacations to Idaho, with you longing to move out of California, it never happened.
I remember family and holiday gatherings in Corning, CA and the annual Simon Family reunions. Listening to everyone talk about when they grew up and living in Kansas before some of you moved out to California.
You worked so hard in your life, long work weeks and long hours and barely got paid anything!
Then you got very ill and the grandkids grew up with you in and out of the hospital. We all got to have you in our lives for another 16 years and you got to see most of the grandkids grow to teenagers.
I wish you could have been hear to see all of your great grandkids, they are quite a bunch!
We’re losing so many family members now and the ones still alive are getting older! The younger generations of the family don’t seem to have the family as a priority in their lives.Wonder how much longer the Simon Family Reunion will survive?
I know you’re watching over all of us, we love and miss you.
Family has always been the most important thing in my life. I enjoy working on our family history to keep the future generations connected to our past. I really need to get back to working on it again.
Tribute to United States Veterans!
I want to thank Rudy and all of the Veterans that have given us our Freedom!
All Veterans should have today off from work! (Rudy has to work, that is not right! Many non-Veterans get today off, but many Veterans are at work today!)
Rudy was only 17 when he joined the Army, went to Viet Nam when he was 18. He was in the Army and worked in Tanks, his tank in Viet Nam was called “Wild Thing”.
He did 4 years in the military, then struggled for 6 more years trying to find a job to support us. Veterans should not have to struggle so much in society after they have done the duty with the military. They should get the support they need from the government.
When he came home, there was no Welcome, he had to hide that he was a Veteran completely! Times sure have changed for the Veterans now when they come home from the war.
Rudy I am so proud of you and what you did for our country, people never have told you that in the past!
Update on my CT Scan results
I have to wait until Dec.4 to get them, the scans were done on Oct. 29. I just don’t understand why patients have to be in pain for so long without any help and waiting this long for scan results is totally ridiculous!
I’m not sure I can stand this pain getting worse much longer, may end up in ER before long.
Happy Birthday
Gina and Nee’s birthday was yesterday and I made them their special Birthday dinner and dessert.
They were very excited with their gift from Mona and her family this year!
I always give them a new Christmas decoration each year on their birthday!
Where have the years gone?
Here’s the girls with Rudy:
