Life Goes On…

One Day at a Time

Weaving project

When Meg and Madi arrived here in WA for their stay, they had asked me to make them weaving looms.

So finally this last week I made each of the grand daughters a loom made out of cardboard, gathered some yarn for them to cut up and 3 of the 4 have started their weaving.

Here’s what the loom looks like:

Wrapping it with yarn

Some weaving being done:

Weaving completed, but before tying it off.

I’ll take a pic of one all tied off and post soon!

Bomber Soccer Camp

Meg and Madi went to Soccer Camp all week and had a great time! By Friday they seemed to be dragging, but weather had gotten hot too!

I took pics throughout the week:

Getting ready for a soccer drill.

Right after the Slip-n-Slide.

More pics to come.

Playing in scrimmage, both were playing defenders this day. Most of the time Meg played a forward and Madi played a defender.

On the last day of soccer camp, all of the little kids played the coaches in a scrimmage.

The girls had a great time at Soccer Camp and wished they had another week of it.

Mona has gone back to NJ

We all went to breakfast yesterday morning, then off to the Pasco airport for Mona’s flight. Of course she left late and her flight at Salt Lake City was late also, so she got home really late!

Meg and Madi start Bomber Soccer Camp this morning, so we’ll be leaving in a little while to go. They will go each morning this week.

Mona and girls arrived!

Jakob and I picked them up at the Pasco airport yesterday morning and crammed all of their suitcases into my Prius. We stopped by Wal-Mart on the way home and then headed for home.

Gina and Kaitie came over and I made lunch for everyone and we just visited for awhile. Rudy popped in from work for a few minutes, then went back to work.

After Rudy got home again from work, I made dinner for them, then after dinner we drove to Richland for frosties. Richland was very crowded every where with cars, Cool Desert Night actvities, an annual car gathering here.

Got to bed late, a little slow this morning. Meg and I are the only ones up so far.

We’re back from Family Reunion

That drive to California gets longer each time we go! We used to make it in one day, now it takes two days.

Was good seeing family, been a long time.

Hoping to get some photos on here soon!
